Santa's Magic Lights is owned and run by me, Justin Gansberg. When you call or text, you get me. I design your display, put together your quote, and stand behind the work all season.
I'm based in Roseville and install from Truckee and North Lake Tahoe down to the Sierra Foothills. Mountain homes, big trees and long rooflines are my favorite kind of job.
Permanent lights
Install them once and you're done climbing ladders. Permanent roofline lights stay up year-round and run from an app on your phone: pick colors, patterns and brightness.
Red and green for Christmas, red, white and blue for the 4th, team colors on game day, or soft warm white every night.
Tall trees, done right
We relight tall trees for resorts, lodges and venues: commercial-grade warm white LED mini lights at 4-inch spacing, wrapped on the trunk and main branches up to about 40 ft.
Tree-safe ties leave room for growth so the wire never cuts into the bark. Lift equipment, removal of old lights, long-term electrical connections and cleanup are all included, scheduled around your events.

How much does Christmas light installation cost near Lake Tahoe?

What are permanent Christmas lights?
Lights installed once along your roofline that stay up year-round. You control colors, patterns and brightness from an app, so you can switch between Christmas, other holidays and everyday warm white without a ladder.
Do I have to buy the lights?
No. We supply all-new LED lights and mounting materials. Installation, post-season takedown, cleanup and year-round storage are included.
Can you hang lights I already own?
Yes. We test every strand before it goes up, hang it with clips made for your roof, connect it to your outlets and timer, then take it down after the season and return your lights bundled. If a strand or bulb has failed, we quote it before replacing it.
How do I book, and when do I pay?
A 50% deposit reserves your installation date. The remaining 50% is due when the installation is complete.
When should I book?
As early as you can. Install dates fill up through November, and early bookings get a discount: this season it's 15% off when your deposit is in by Nov 9.
Do you light businesses, resorts and HOAs?
Yes. We relight tall trees up to about 40 ft with lift equipment, and handle rooflines and entries for lodges, venues, storefronts and HOAs.
